Originating from Halley’s Comet, the Eta Aquarids are best observed in the Southern Hemisphere but are also visible from India. At their peak, they can produce up to 30 meteors per hour in northern latitudes, whereas up to 60 per hour in the southern hemisphere. The best viewing time is after midnight, far away from city lights.
